Japan is the home of Usui Reiki Ryoho as Usui Sensei took an epic journey up Mount Kurama, in Kyoto, seeking Anshin Ritsumei in March 1922. So, it was perfect that many of us would pilgrimage across the world to celebrate the legacy of Mikao Usui 100 years later. In Kabbalah we recognize that when something has challenges, those challenges are present so you can earn a greater reward, if we rise to the challenge. I find these challenges a perfect opportunity to flow Reiki to whatever is going on and light the path.

Usui Sensei faced Many challenges in life which is what culminated in his journey where he chose to fast and meditate for weeks on the top of Mt Kurama, until he found peace. If you are familiar with this story, you know he was excited to also discover his mission in life through the great Light of Reiki he received during this journey. He chose to walk face forward through the challenges that presented and earn an incredible reward through the light of his soul! We all have these opportunities! Do you see them in your life? This covers the 6 trips to the airport over 3 days, a surprise overnight stay in Nagoya instead of Kyoto, and many more challenges that presented themselves so I could earn tremendous rewards from the Universe during the trip!

Covid-19 presented many challenges, including delaying the centenary event from 2022 to 2023. But I believe all of us who attended received a bounty of blessings from Reiki at the event and throughout our journeys in Japan! About one week before the event, I gathered online with about 40 members of Gendai Reiki from Spain, France, Japan, and around the world as we sent Reiki ahead to the event. We had a photo of the UNESCO Heritage site, where the event was to be held, on the screen.

As we sent Reiki I could see intuitively many beautiful Reiki dragons from the higher heavens encircling above the building. As we continued to flow Reiki I began to see within my mind’s eye those dragons breathing out golden flames of Holy Fire light. It flowed through the participants and began to flow as beautiful rivers of liquid light within the venue and through the area around the venue, eventually flowing through all of Osaka. One of the things I love about Reiki is that when it flows, it’s resonance of healing can be felt throughout the entire room where it is flowing. In this case where so many Reiki practitioners were gathering, the healing light of love that is Reiki poured abundantly through the participants, presenters, workers, volunteers, and residents of the area too! Reiki is always so generous with its blessings. I am so often in awe at the miracles I have been witness to through the guidance of Reiki’s Light. I am Very excited about the next 100 years of Reiki as we are at the dawn of the birth of the next generation of Reiki!!!
